Neste novo episódio de Falar as Danças, recebemos deufert&plischke, o “Artistwin”, para nos ler um texto seu escrito exclusivamente para esta ocasião, intitulado “Grand Opening”.

Kattrin Deufert e Thomas Plischke formaram a dupla de artistas deufert&plischke em 2001, e nos últimos 22 anos já criaram mais de 50 projetos de teatro que abordam situações de produção artística e a dinâmica social complexa dos processos artísticos. Criaram a série Anarchiv, os Emergence Rooms, os Entropic Institutes, a série DURCHEINANDER, e o projeto de história da dança Just in Time, para dar alguns exemplos de um leque muito vasto de projetos.  Todas as séries de trabalhos abrangem arcos temáticos muito amplos, desde as origens da mitologia grega às questões prementes do nosso tempo: Como é que comunicamos numa comunidade de estranhos? Como é que tomamos decisões em conjunto? Como é que assumimos responsabilidade por nós próprios e pelos outros? As suas obras ultrapassam as fronteiras da dança e do teatro e abordam a participação individual e o quotidiano social em eventos artísticos.

In this new episode of “Wording Dances”, we welcome deufert&plischke, the Artistwin, to read to us from a text which they wrote exclusively for this occasion, entitled “Grand Opening”. 

Dr Kattrin Deufert and Thomas Plischke have formed the artistwin deufert&plischke in 2001, and in the last 22 years they have realised over 50 theatre projects that deal with artistic production situations and the complex social dynamics of artistic processes. They have created the Anarchiv series, the Emergence Rooms, the Entropic Institutes, the DURCHEINANDER series, and the dance history project Just in Time, to name a few of their many outputs. All series of works span thematically wide arcs from the origins of Greek mythology to the pressing questions of our time: How do we communicate in a community of strangers? How do we make decisions together? How do we take responsibility for ourselves and for others? Their works go beyond the boundaries of dance and theatre and deal with individual participation and the social everyday in artistic events.
