However, radon is the leading cause of lung cancer for non-smokers in the US. Radon levels are above Environmental Protection Levels in about 1 in 15 US #household s. In 2005 former US Surgeon General Richard H Carmona released a national health advisory on #healthrisks from #exposure to radon in #indoor air.
