
EPISODE DESCRIPTION:
Registered Dietician, Beth O’Shea Kindamo, and Amanda Harner, finish our discussion about Fad Diets in part two of this 2-part episode of the FACS of Life. Beth is the Assistant Nutrition Educator and Program Coordinator for UGA Extension and Outreach, Nutritional Sciences. She has worked in dietetics for 12 years serving in diverse settings giving her a unique and interesting perspective on Fad Diets. In part two of this episode on Fad Diets Beth and Amanda discuss several popular diets including Keto, Intermittent Fasting, and Paleo. Additionally, several diet trends like “that girl” and “plant-based” are discussed. The final part of the episode dives into 2 diets that have been well researched and have a history of positive health outcomes.
