Teaching Those Uniquely Human Skills in the Age Of Artificial Intelligence
This episode discusses the importance of shifting educational focus from mere knowledge acquisition to fostering human skills essential for thriving in an AI-driven world. The conversation highlights the Human Intelligence Movement, a nonprofit initiative aimed at ensuring students develop critical human skills. Co-founders Dr. Michelle Amit and Travis Allen emphasize the need for policy changes to prioritize human intelligence alongside traditional education metrics. They advocate for creating environments that encourage curiosity and personal connections in classrooms. The movement seeks to define and measure human skills that AI cannot replicate, aiming to equip educators with tools to enhance students’ human potential.
