Andrea de Adamich, a versatile Italian driver, passed away at 84. He competed in 29 F1 Grands Prix, securing 4th place finishes at the 1972 Spanish Grand Prix and 1973 Belgian Grand Prix. De Adamich excelled in touring car and sportscar racing, winning the European Touring Car Championship in 1966 and the Italian Formula Three crown in 1965. He also won the 1968 Formula Two Temporada series in Argentina. Despite a promising start, his F1 career was cut short by a severe leg injury in a 1973 crash. Post-retirement, de Adamich became a journalist, TV personality, and driving school founder, and later served as a director for the N.Technology squad in touring car racing.
