Max Verstappen delivered a masterclass at Imola, clinching his second win of the 2025 season and his fourth consecutive victory at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. Starting from the front row, Verstappen executed a daring first-lap overtake on pole-sitter Oscar Piastri at the Tamburello chicane—a move Red Bull boss Christian Horner dubbed a "win it or bin it" moment.
Lando Norris showcased strategic brilliance, overtaking teammate Piastri in the closing laps to secure second place, capitalizing on fresher tires. Piastri completed the podium in third, maintaining his lead in the Drivers' Championship with 146 points, followed by Norris with 133 and Verstappen closing in at 124.
Lewis Hamilton impressed in his Ferrari debut at Imola, charging from 12th on the grid to finish fourth, marking his best result with the Scuderia to date. Teammate Charles Leclerc, however, faced controversy after being instructed to yield a position to Alex Albon following an on-track incident, resulting in a sixth-place finish.
This race also marked Red Bull Racing's 400th Grand Prix, adding a historic milestone to Verstappen's 65th career victory. With the championship battle intensifying, the season promises more thrilling action ahead.
