Listen in as Evolving Enneagram Founder Nhien Vuong interviews Enneagram professional Milton Stewart (Enneagram Type 7) (TN USA) about his personal, spiritual journey with the Enneagram. An Enneagram consultant, Milton is an internationally accredited Enneagram professional, Host of the Do It For The Gram Podcast, Founder of Kaizen Careers, Coaching and Consulting LLC, and IEA Global Board Member.
In this interview, Milton opens up about his religious upbringing, his lifelong journey as a wisdom seeker, how he has come to a different understanding of (the Enneagram-based) Holy Ideas of Holy Wisdom and Holy Plan, learning to trust more and more that life will provide without his needing to compulsive plan ahead to ensure his good will come to him. Related, he shares about learning to "surrender" to healing and heartfelt connection and his coming to "know" God as a God that transcends any religion. Throughout this interview, Milton shares candidly about his grappling with the idea of being “superficial,” his recent revelations during a very recent trip to Egypt, his default tendency to positively reframe negatives as well as to imagine or plan for a good time and how those tendencies have masked his fears and past pain, keeping them from being healed. Milton also offers us useful advice and practices that have helped him to become more trusting and rooted, including the practice of breathing in and down, which has helped him to feel the constriction of fear in his body long enough for that fear to actually release.
