Dear MRI Community,

In Episode #15 of the Everything MRI podcast, we focus on 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐑𝐈, a crucial diagnostic procedure that is gradually transforming patient outcomes in 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞. We are honoured to host Dr. Bhavna Batohi, a Consultant Radiologist at King’s College London NHS Trust and an expert in cutting-edge breast imaging.
Together with Bhavna, we tried to understand better the key role of MRI in detecting and characterising breast lesions, especially for 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 with 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐬.

Among the many questions we tried to answer during this episode are: What's the impact of Breast MRI for potentially 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 high-risk populations and resolving 𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬? What are the technical advances increasing 𝐌𝐑𝐈’𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 over other imaging modalities? What are the 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 currently impacting breast MRI service adoption? Current status of 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, best 𝐌𝐑 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐬, and personalised screening pathways.
