EP 7: ‘Does it really matter if you date up, equal or down?’ #EIB
Hi everyone! We hope you are all keeping well and safe?! A lot has happened since our last episode - namely the horrific murder of George Floyd in the US last month which has sparked unrest all over the world and has put the #BlackLivesMatter movement on the map like never before. We touch on all of this at the beginning of this episode before delving into the world of dating and how important it is to date upwards or equal. We debated whether it was the right time to release this episode given it’s topic and as black women we understand the need to have the right conversations during these time. At the same time, we have both struggled with our mental health and well-being and have found everything quite overwhelming. So this episode is for anyone who may be feeling the same and would like to unplug for a minute. It goes without saying that though difficult, we must continue to educate ourselves on our history and make sure we are equipped to stand against racial injustice.
