6. Exploring Napa and Sonoma - Senior Editor for Wine Enthusiast, Virginie Boone talks about the hidden treasures in Napa and Sonoma

On this episode, Sarah Faherty sits down with an incredible wine writer, author and contributing editor of Wine Enthusiast Magazine, Virginie Boone. Virginie has been with Wine Enthusiast since 2010 and is a lead contributor on the wines of Napa and Sonoma for the magazine. Sonoma-based Boone began her writing career in 1997 with Lonely Planet travel guidebooks, contributing to titles on South America, Northern California, France and America's Deep South. She is also the author of Napa Valley and Sonoma: Heart of California Wine Country, and a regular panelist and speaker on wine topics in California and beyond

On this episode, we discuss Napa and Sonoma. We discuss everything from the difference in soils and climates within Napa and Sonoma, some of the hidden treasures you don’t want to miss out on, and the differences to be on the lookout next time you go to purchase a bottle. We will also discuss how Wine Enthusiast comes up with its famous ratings of various wines.
