Life is both beautiful and hard, but each day is a chance to discover your purpose and make an impact. In this episode of Every Day Matters, Pastor Jeff talks with Pastor Nic Allen about what it means to discern God’s will. Nic shares how saying “yes” to God has shaped his life, from growing up in faith to 18 years of ministry at Rolling Hills. Each season—whether moving, changing roles, or raising kids—has been an invitation to trust God one step at a time.
Nic explains that discerning God’s will begins with following His general call for all believers: praying, rejoicing, serving, and growing in Christlike character. From there, decisions about jobs, relationships, or new opportunities become clearer when rooted in Scripture, community, and wise counsel. Sometimes the answer means waiting; other times it means stepping out in faith before every detail is known.
Now, as Nic transitions to a new role with Justice and Mercy International, he reflects on how God’s plans are always greater than our own. His story is a reminder that when we give God our “yes,” He works through our lives in ways that bless others and bring Him glory, because every day truly matters.
