In this episode with the Good CME Practice group (gCMEp), gCMEp members Froukje Sosef (COR2ED) and Margarita Velcheva (Kenes Group) are in conversation with João Grenho (UEMS Secretary General and Head of EACCME) about the recently updated ‘EACCME 3.0’ accreditation criteria from UEMS-EACCME.

gCMEp is a membership organisation for CME providers based in Europe that aims to promote professionalism within the European CME provider community. More information on the gCMEp can be found on the journal website: gCMEp.org.

  • The EACCME organisation and accreditation
  • The groups involved in informing the revised EACCME 3.0 criteria
  • Who is eligible to apply for CME/CPD accreditation with EACCME
  • The rationale for not accrediting satellite symposia
  • How EACCME defines ‘independent support grant’
  • Whether accredited e-learning can be developed from a live industry-sponsored symposium

  • Stance on industry representatives speaking in a scientific programme
  • Expectations of providers for collecting learner feedback
  • The number of trusted providers registered with EACCME
  • Whether multi-support or single-support is preferred for a medical education activity
