So much has happened since we last met- a new season has begun, we successfully made our return to the stage after a long hiatus from live performances, and we are now in the process of bringing a very special program to life, “the celebration of the uncommon woman”. All this to say, it has been a busy time, and readjusting to the daily routine, physical strain, and regular exertion that is required for and intrinsic to the unique demands of our work. But I can say with certainty that it’s so good to be back.
Over the course of the next week, we present to you the voices, views and perspectives of the amazing choreographers behind our program in some fascinating, bite sized episodes that you can listen to anywhere and anytime. In this episode, I sit down with Eugene Ballet’s artistic director Toni Pimble to talk about the significance of this program both from a historical perspective and in the present tense, what excites her the most about this program, and much more. Please enjoy.
