A postgraduate in Special Education for persons with disabilities, Sumitra comes with over 30 years of experience in the development sector in India. She has worked closely with children and young adults with disabilities, trafficked children, and some of the most disenfranchised women and children. She has wide experience in organizational strategy, policy advocacy, institution building and evidence-based programmes impacting change.
Sumitra’s direct work experience with communities of children and women has been the pivot of her body of professional work and personal growth.
