Wendy Douglas is a biblical counselor specializing in grief and loss, as well as a Certified Grief Educator through David Kessler. Currently, Wendy is in the practicum and internship phase of becoming a licensed professional counselor, and has done some work with Dr. H. Norman Wright in grief, crisis, and trauma response training. Wendy’s website, DelightedbyGrace.com, is a resource for those who are grieving, and it is a welcomed resource that counselors around the country are sharing with their clients. Wendy hosts grief workshops, and she leads a Facebook group on grief and loss called Grief Support Delighted by Grace. She offers a free guided journal, Healing from Within: How to Begin Writing Your Grief Story that can be accessed on her website.
Previously, Wendy worked in marketing for Chick-fil-A at multiple locations in the South where she enjoyed serving the individual and promoting the corporate philosophy of having a positive impact while understanding that each person has a unique story. Today, Wendy continues to serve and support that same philosophy through grief and loss counseling from a biblical perspective.
Wendy has appeared as a guest blogger on LeslieVernick.com and TheOaksCommunity.org. She has also been a featured guest on The Hidden Jewels podcast, where she shares her own journey through grief and depression.
She has been married to her best friend from high school for 27 years and has three adult children.
