In this episode, Emma speaks to Naomi Goldberg, Director of Strategy at METRO Charity.

Naomi studied pharmacology at Kings College London where she became actively involved in student politics and voluntary work. She began working in the public sector in 1986, becoming Head of Policy and Performance for Barking and Dagenham Council where she led on the voluntary sector, community development and partnerships. After volunteering for the United Nations in Vietnam for two and a half years, in 2009 she was appointed Chief Executive of Greenwich Action for Voluntary Service (GAVS).

In 2017 Naomi became Director of Strategy of METRO Charity with the merger of GAVS into METRO GAVS. She oversees METRO’s Community domain as well as the HR and Volunteering functions. Externally, she chairs the Mental Health Reference Group in Greenwich and is currently a member of the Borough’s Health and Well Being Board; Children’s Services Strategic Partnership; Health and Wellbeing Strategy Implementation Group, and the Project Mosaic Steering Group.
