We’re on a mission to create EPIC families: Extraordinary Parents. Incredible Children.

Families with children (and potentially parents!) who have ADHD, Autism or sit along the neurodiverse spectrum...it's time celebrate the power of thinking differently.

The EPIC Families Podcast gives neurodiverse families the certainty, clarity and confidence to build EPIC relationships and live incredible lives though embracing - not fighting against - what makes them unique.

We deliver strength in neurodiversity by grabbing the information from experts who have it, and giving it to the families who need it. Our focus is on real-life families and providing them with practical guidance, tools and support. We are proudly and boldly different - we focus on real, chaotic, messy family life, not perfect psychological scenarios and academic case studies.

No longer will neurodiverse families feel overlooked, misunderstood, confused, ignored or forgotten. This is where we make a stand and prove to the world that neurodiversity is superpower!

EPIC Families is delivered by Bay Paediatrics, one of New Zealand's leading child neurodiversity clinics. Discover more at: https://baypaediatrics.com/

The show is hosted by Freddie Bennett, a neurodiverse dad who conquered his mind and became a Guinness World Record holder, crossed the Sahara Desert, and ran the Arctic towards the North Pole. Now he’s on a mission to help every family understand that neurodiversity does not have to be a weakness…it can be your greatest strength.

ADHD Unlocked

We are SO back!

Welcome to season 2 of the EPIC Families podcast!

If the ADHD journey has ever left you and your family feeling overwhelmed, underprepared or overlooked, then we have the perfect person to help you get ADHD Unlocked. Meet Tracey Rountree, a key member of ADHD New Zealand, and someone who brings a lifetime of knowledge, wisdom and lived experience to the EPIC Families podcast because she is also an ADHD mum in a neurodiverse household.

In this episode, Tracey reveals:

šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļø ā€œMaybe it’s ME?ā€ - The unfortunate truth around how many parents are dismissed when the first signs of neurodivergence appear for their child.

šŸ† Winning the confidence battle - How to start trusting yourself as a parent…even when other people think they know your child better than you!

šŸ‘Øā€šŸ« The phonecall from school - Why you don’t have to fall into the ā€˜perfect parenting trap’ when your child’s teacher tells you they are struggling.

āš ļø The dangers of always trying to get it ā€˜right’, and why ā€˜trial and error’ could be a more powerful approach.

šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« How to be a more consistent parent in a world where you feel like you’re being pulled in 100 different directions.

āøļø Why a strategic ā€˜pause’ can be a game changer when it comes to morning and evening routines.

šŸ·ļø The debate around ā€˜labelling’ a child as neurodiverse, and why NOT doing so can cause additional challenges.

PLUS, Tracey helps us to unlock one of the key parenting puzzles…

šŸ’¬ How to talk to your child about ADHD and wider neurodiversity
