Mauri and Maddie met Nash Snider at one of the most beautiful waterfalls of Far North Queensland near Cooktown, Australia in 2021.

Nash is an First Nations Aboriginal Artist, Cultural Leader and a Laura Quinkan Dancer.

Together with his family, they are really warm and welcoming, often inviting people to visit special places around their country, one of the most powerful places in North Queensland.

His clan is from Laura, Kuku Yalandji, which Nash says was always a ceremony place, where people have lived for 60,000 years.

However, over 100 years ago his family was removed from there and forced down to the missions.

Now, with his 5 daughters, he is proud to be back on home land. Doing ceremony, traditional dancing and story-telling, speaking the language and also, protecting the land from mining companies.
