How I started learning English/ Episode 1

Even though I struggled with English at the beginning, I want you to know that improvement is possible for anyone, including you. If I could do it, so can you! Join me in this episode as we discuss overcoming language barriers and the journey to language proficiency.

Useful vocabulary:

  1. To reckon: To think or believe something. 

  2. To be inept at something: To lack skill or ability in doing something. 

  3. Something-wise: Regarding or in terms of something.

  4. To appeal: To attract or interest someone; to be pleasing or attractive. 

  5. Whatsoever: Used for emphasis to indicate that there is no amount or degree of something. 

  6. A great deal of something: A large amount or quantity of something.

  7. Undergo / past tense: underwent: To experience or endure something, especially something unpleasant or arduous.

  8. To strive: To make great efforts to achieve or obtain something.

  9. To save face: To avoid embarrassment or humiliation, especially in a challenging situation. 

  10. To take something where I left off: To resume or continue something from the point where it was previously stopped or interrupted.
