The Lost Art of Switch Hitting
I took a lot of pride in being able to switch hitting. It has become a lost art because parents at the youth level don't want their kids to struggle or be left off of a travel ball team. Learning to struggle and fail early in sports will make you a better athlete/person later in life. Not to mention, learning to switch hit may actually separate you from the pack and allow you to succeed longer in baseball... it did for me.
Later in this episode Blummer will take you behind the curtain and talk about some of the broadcast industry lingo he had to learn along the way. Some of it makes sense, some of it still doesn't!
Thank you for listening!!!
