Other than the Tom Hanks movie, Terminal can describe many different things, not least late-stage cancer with no cure. It also refers to final points in systems, like computer interfaces, power connections, airport gates, or a train station where one journey ends and another begins. Here, my father shares what it means to live in that terminal state. And to quote the movie that tops almost every man’s list, get busy living or get busy dying.
