
A conversation with Dr. Ashim Hajra on the unspoken experiences of healthcare from a provider perspective. He shared his experiences in dealing with patients of all spectrums and the challenges of navigating sensitive and difficult topics such as death, dying, healthcare rationing and the patient to provider roles and responsibilties. We also talked about how creativity has played a pivotal role and how that translates from personal to professional life. Dr. Hajra also discussed what it was like being a healthcare provider during the pandemic and the many unique challenges he observed during this difficult time. Like patients, doctors are human too and this episode seeks to humanize healthcare providers by shining some light into their experiences in the world of healthcare. Dr. Ashim Hajra is an Internal Medicine Physician based out of a community hospital in Oakland. Some of his achievements include publishing original research in a major medical journal and leading meditation groups. Some of his creative outlets include DJing (House Music), Rapping, House Dancing and currently studying music production alongside piano.
