Encouragement for Christians Who Misread God’s Will (1 Samuel 16:6–7)
Have you ever been sure about something—convinced it was God’s will—only to realize later… you got it wrong? You’re not alone.
In 1 Samuel 16:6–7, even the prophet Samuel assumed Eliab was God’s chosen king based on what looked right. But God corrected him:
“Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
This devotional is a reminder that missing it doesn’t mean you’re disqualified. It just means we’re still learning to discern. God doesn’t shame us—He redirects us.
📖 1 Samuel 16:7 – “The Lord does not look at the things people look at…”
Let this encourage you to keep trusting Him—even after a misstep. He’s still guiding you.
