Daniel Suelo is the 60 year old man who lived without having a cent to his name for 15 years. Living moneyless from 2000 until 2015, his primary home was a cave in the Utah desert. Though he wandered all over the United States walking, hitch-hiking and train-hopping, he never used food banks, food stamps or any other kind of government assistance. His primary food source was from dumpsters and fresh road kill. Occasionally, he would take food that was offered to him. The idea was to use everything already at hand, whether food or technology, to recycle and repurpose, not purchase anything, as all of wild nature does. Daniel is currently a live-in caretaker for his mother. So now he uses money sparingly to take care of her, but his goal is to get back to living moneyless as soon as he's able.
