Nivedh and Sara are feeling good this week. Their friend Kyler (@cerealkyler) took a break from his job of photographing Alice Cooper to come and take nice pictures of them. They got a new bigger white board for the studio, the sun is shining, and their energy is high. So, what better topic for today’s episode than the most desperate, embarrassing things they’ve done in attempts to impress people?
But first, they discuss the ways in which having creative careers and a lot of hobbies makes them more vulnerable in friendships and relationships. And also probably more judgmental. All Nivedh wants is sincere and frequent validation, and Sara just doesn’t want to listen to you sing like Bob Dylan- is that really too much to ask?
Nivedh has never been one to do anything but the most, so of course he once wrote a 21-page Stars Wars fan fiction to win the affection of someone he met on a dating app (watch the full dramatic reading on his IGTV). Sara recounts the summer she spent trying to learn to hip-hop dance in order to keep up with her ex-boyfriend, a cast member of Hamilton: The Musical. Lastly, Nivedh regales us with the tale of the night he won over his crush, a bonfire, and the occupants of an upstate NY emergency room.
