Nivedh and Sara come to record the podcast having gotten into their first disagreement earlier this week. They quickly put it behind them and avoid a custody battle over Taylor, mostly due to Nivedh being an extreme people-pleaser and Sara reserving all her anger for Comcast customer service representatives.
As two individuals who present a level of maturity and competence that far outweighs that which they actually posses, Nivedh and Sara are no strangers to meeting parents. Thanks to years of dating women with cool dads, Nivedh is just one father-in-law away from reaching his final dad form, while Sara has invested far too much into her fantasy of becoming a mysterious rich aunt to bother dating anyone without siblings. On today’s episode, they unpack their relationships with parental figures, swap stories of meeting the families of significant others, then throw some psychoanalyses into the conversation for good measure.
“I wish you both the best of luck in your mutual existential crisis.” – Sara’s mom
