Today we're sitting down with a Hampton Roads transplant….well, he's called Virginia home since 1995, I think he's a native now, but he was born in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in Ohio. Seko Varner describes himself as an “Edu-Tainer”, which blends the terms Educator and Entertainer. He holds degrees from Hampton University*, Old Dominion University, and Regent University, as well as an Endorsement in Educational Leadership from George Washington University. In Hampton Roads, Seko is most known as a sought-after wedding DJ and business professional, but our conversation today is centered around his most recent launch of the Hampton Roads Greenbook, an online and cellphone app that spotlights Hampton Roads' Black enterprises and professionals.
