Weather Watch - From Scorching Days to Chilly Nights

Hello and welcome to the podcast. Today, we're diving into a topic that everyone talks about: the weather. We’ll equip you with some fantastic vocabulary to describe everything from a beautiful summer's day to a cold and rainy afternoon.

Let's begin by listing the words we’ll be covering. We will explore: overcast, an overcast sky; scorching, a scorching hot day; humid, hot and humid; windy, it's incredibly windy; foggy, a thick, foggy morning; chilly, feeling a bit chilly; damp, a damp and cold afternoon; gloomy, gloomy weather; summery, a lovely summery evening; clear, a clear blue sky; pour, the rain started to pour down; flood, at risk of a flash flood; rain cats and dogs, it's raining cats and dogs; hailstones, covered in hailstones; gust, a sudden gust of wind; climate, the country's climate; temperature, the temperature drops; and finally, three new words for you: drizzle, a light drizzle; muggy, a warm and muggy night; and brisk, a brisk autumn walk.
