This week we discuss the horrific and gruesome murder of Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind, a young pregnant 22-year-old who was murdered for her baby. In August 2017, Savanna's upstairs neighbor knocked on her door asking for help altering a dress. She offered to pay Savanna $20 dollars to come model the dress. Savanna, a young pregnant mom at the time jumped at the opportunity to make some easy money and help a neighbor out. However, Savanna would never return from that apartment and the details of her death are horrifying, even for seasoned true crime addicts.
Savanna was a member of the Spirit Lake Tribe in North Dakota and this case brought to life for us an epidemic that is happening in this country, THAT NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT. Did you know that there are over 5,700 cases of missing Indigenous women and girls? Even worse, the US Department of Justice missing database only has 116 of them reported in their system. Join us as we discuss the brutal murder of Savanna, the epidemic that is happening in our country, and how even in death Savanna is helping bring about change through Savanna's Act.
