My Prediabetes Journey: IR and T2DM - A Global Health Crisis_Part 4

Insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic syndrome are major and escalating global health problems. Key factors driving these issues include obesity, unhealthy lifestyles, and genetic predispositions. These conditions place a significant burden on individuals and healthcare systems due to morbidity, mortality, and healthcare costs. Effective prevention and management strategies rely on lifestyle modifications, early diagnosis and, in some cases, medication. The continued collection of data and further research on the underlying mechanisms will be essential to combat these complex challenges effectively.
