Episode 1: Drag Race Season 1 - "The Lost Season" with Dr. Jason von Stietz

Welcome to our first episode of Drag Race Psychology! My name is David Smith, I am the host of the podcast and for this episode I am joined by my friend and colleague, host of the podcast Movie House Sport Psychology, Dr. Jason von Stietz.

In this episode, we are untucking season 1 of RuPaul's Drag Race through the lens of sport and performance psychology. We examine the attitudes and personalities of the queen's competing, pressures of performance highlighted in various episodes, defining moments from the season, judges impressions, and learn from the competitors themselves what it takes to be "America's Next Drag Superstar."

Just like Season 1 of Drag Race, our first episode is a little rough around the edges itself, but we hope you stick with us as we find our rhythm as well going into the future. Leave us a nice review and feedback on what your thoughts are on the episode as well as suggestions of things to discuss in future episodes.
