I celebrated 6 years in business . And while these 6 years have been quite a roller coaster and my business has changed a ton (I went from writing blogs, trying to monetize my blog, writing books to coaching) I have learned a lot along the way and I wanted to take some time to share it with you today! Here are my 6 greatest takeaways.
1. Don’t be scared to ask for help. A lot of times we buy into the idea that if we ask for help we’re doing something wrong or it’s a form of weakness. For me learning to ask for help took far too long but was a major game changer for me. So this may look like hiring a coach this may look like bringing on an assistant can look a lot of different movies but don’t be scared to ask for the help you deserve.
2. Trust your intuition. I can’t stress enough that your body knows best. Listen to it! So when you’re feeling called to do something specific (you’re feeling called to say yes to something or to even say no) trust that it is a safe form of internal guidance leading you to exactly what you deeply desire. Part of the reason it took me so long to scale was because I didn’t trust myself. Doing that internal work was such an eye opener for me.
3. Mindset is critical. For years I bought into the hustle, hard work and strategy component of building my business. And it left me with major burn out. It wasn’t until I decided to do some mindset work that things began to truly change for me. Here’s what I learned, you can have all the systems, strategy and support in the world but if your mindset isn’t aligned none of that’s going to matter so prioritize it. This experience is the very reason I weave mindset into the work I do with my clients. Having that balance of strategy and mindset is critical!
4. There is more than one way to define success in fact I wrote an entire dissertation on it. But to sum it up we have to change the narrative of what society has sold us as the normal version of success. For me buying into that 2.5 kids, married with a house with a white picket fence and a dog felt unaligned for me, but I normalized it for years. It’s no wonder why we carry that same approach into business. Here is the truth- There is no one sizes fits all model to growing your business.
5. Self care is a must- it’s tempting to put yourself on the back burner when you have such a big vision that stirs your spirit keeps you up at night and gives you so much energy and momentum. But without taking care of yourself it is a sure fire strategy to burn out and it surely won’t get you any closer to your goals. So as you create space to move toward your vision make sure that self-love and self care are a priority in that process .
6. Be yourself . Business, maybe one of the biggest personal development journeys ever. And it’s easy to lose yourself in the process because often your business can be a mirror, reflecting back some of your deepest and greatest insecurities. But one thing I’ve learned along this journey is that with each reflection I’ve had there’s something to be learned and more importantly, that if I try to mirror and match what everyone else is going, I’m going to burn myself out because I’m not being true to myself. Your authenticity is your greatest asset and learning how to leverage it will be the biggest game changer for you you

Manifestation begins with positive thoughts. Essentially you’re going to attract what you’re an energetic match for. When you become more aware of your thoughts and your surroundings, you start to notice relationships between what you think and what manifests itself in your life. If you’re reading this then you know you’re ready to create the life and business you desire and deserve. And that begins with reframing your thoughts to align with what you want to call into your life. Affirmations are a great step. Affirmations are essentially your way of expressing what you desire to attract.
Just a few short years ago scientists believed that our brain couldn't or wouldn't change after childhood. After further research they realized that was FALSE! The truth is our brain is adaptable like plastic that’s why scientists call it neuroplasticity. Studying this blew my mind! Our brain is like a grid that has a ton of pathways that light up when we think, feel or do something Some of these pathways are well traveled which is what we call habit- our establish way of thinking feeling and doing Every time we feel or do something it strengthens this pathway making it easier and easier for our brain to travel that pathway.
When you think about something differently or try to develop a new habit you begin to carve out a new pathway the more you continue to do this. If you keep traveling this pathway your brain uses it more and more and the new way of thinking feeling and doing becomes second nature We all have done this before and have the power to do it again in alignment with what you desire In today's video I am going to share the process to create affirmations to manifest a life you love. Business is more mindset than it is strategy. This is something I wish I knew earlier on when I spent all of my energy trying to hustle and hard work my way to success. After learning the hard way that I couldn't outwork a negative mindset I have become one of the biggest advocates for mastering your mindset and I love teaching all about it from both the science and experience. So today I want to share the three mindset shifts I made that drastically shifted my business success.
1. I made decisions from where I wanted to be not where I am currently.
2. I prioritized and focused on gratitude
3. I moved from effect to cause and stepped into my power
- I became a gentle observer of my limiting beliefs

In the early stages of my business I created content because I "had" to. I watched what every coach suggested and assumed I needed to mirror and match their strategy. What I didn't understand at the time is was creating content to check a proverbial box was meaningless. Even though I would create content my audience wouldn't connect. I knew what I was doing was not working and it definitely wasn't sustainable. When I went back to the drawing board I created a plan that was a game changer for me. So today I am going to share the two hacks that I incorporated that allowed me to create content in a way that was seamless and fun! I've always felt uncomfortable when it comes to selling. It felt like I had to be desperate or forceful to sell something even if it was of value. Can you relate? As an online entrepreneur, you may be thinking that you need to resort to hard selling techniques like manipulation and deception. But a sales cycle is more about the customer than it is about you, and satisfying their needs as best you can.
Have you ever thought about how long it takes from the moment your prospect first comes to your website, to the point where they purchase their first product? Or maybe even become a customer? The numbers aren't very pretty. According to a 2015 survey by Hubspot, 77% of leads never convert into customers. But if we look closer at this process, we see that there are various turning points during the sales cycle, some which allow us to interact with our prospects and help them along their journey toward becoming an invested customer.
One of those turning points is when a prospect becomes interested in what you have to offer. This doesn't mean they're usually ready to purchase right away though. They may just want more information, or a few tips and tricks before they make their decision. In today's episode, I am going to walk you through the sales cycle process and how you can take your customer from interested to invested. Change is difficult. Changing long-held beliefs and habits is even more difficult. Changing behavior is the hardest of all. That's why it's so important to use a proven method for making permanent lifestyle changes. With the logical levels of change, you will learn how to master change on a transformational level. The reason why I love this concept is because it makes behavior change easier to accomplish.
When faced with an unwanted habit or a negative emotion, most people simply set their intention, commit to the change, and expect things to miraculously happen within a certain amount of time (i.e., two weeks). But this doesn't work! So instead of setting those unrealistic expectations, focus on the logical levels of change.
The logical levels model is a very helpful tool for personal change in that it gives a framework for identifying why things happen the way they do. It is often used in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), in which they provide a helpful structure for looking at what’s happening in any individual and their experiences. Change doesn't happen when you're lucky it happens when you're intentional.
The logical levels of change model is a useful way to track your progress on the road to permanent behavior change. You may not always begin with a highly motivated intention, but by following through with your choices and behavior, you'll gradually reinforce the habit until it becomes natural—and then, like riding a bike, you probably won't think about it much anymore.
In the end, we can only make change permanent by continuing to work on the level at which we're making it permanent. Change becomes a long-term reality when we develop new habits, break old patterns, and build skills in our lives. Let's make some changes in our lives, and do it for good this time.
Inside of The ELEVATE Method we do the mindset work and aligned action to create the changes you desire not only in your personal life, but in your business as well. If you know you're ready to make this your norm Learn more about the program here: www.nicolyawilliams.com/elevate
Somatic work is important because it helps us to understand our bodies and experiences. It helps us to feel more in control of who we are and the life that we want to lead. It allows us to connect with our bodies on a deeper level, which can help us deal with physical, mental, and emotional pain. Somatic practices help us to create a more calm, clear space for ourselves. They can help us to cultivate mindfulness and mindfulness is the key to making peace with our inner challenges and challenges in life. In addition, somatic work is an important part of any practitioner's toolkit. It truly changed the game for me. In today's episode, I am going to share how you can incorporate somatic practices into your daily routine.
Creating content can be overwhelming. You see all the coaches telling you that you have to be on all the social sites, do reels, lives, blogs, podcasts.etc. Not to mention they tell you that you have to post three times a day to be effective. Then you're left wondering what to say, how often to post, and how to relate to your tribe.
In sets overwhelm and this is why many people give up on content creation all together.
I have learned on my journey that there is NOT a one size fits all model to relating to your audience and creating content. And ultimately you have to do what works for you.
Today I am going to share the four pillars to creating content that magnetizes your soul mate clients right to you and how you can begin to weave this into the way that you show up!
And shout out to my coach Heaven who taught me the importance of following my clients journey to create content that converts. She has a very similar model that helped me create this one that works really well for me.

I got a question this morning about how I am able to consistently create and put out content. While I could give you a million different strategies the game changer for me was truly watching what I consume.
What you take in will reflect what you put out. This means when you're watching low vibe shows, listening to low vibe music and surrounding yourself with negative people your output, or lack thereof, will reflect that. But with the same token when you change what you're consuming you will change what you put out!
1. Create consistently- the more you make a routine of it, the more it becomes a natural habit. So plan a time when you will be most productive and make it your norm.
2. Be open to inspiration- inspiration can come from anywhere, but we often spend so much time trying to force ourselves to find it that we miss it
3. Take a break- the more time we give ourselves to be still, is the more time we can tune into what our intuition is telling us.
4. Talk to your audience- getting feedback from those who you are working with the more awareness you can have in how you will be able to support them.
5. Let go of the idea that it has to be perfect. Trying to be perfect is a surefire way to self sabotage, overthink and in turn throw in the proverbial towel. Give yourself room to create and edit and adjust later.
6. Watch what you take in- What you take in (listen to, watch, the environment you're in and the people you're around) has a much greater impact on you that you can imagine. Be cognizant of this and make shifts when necessary.
All in all creating content does not have to be complex. We often like to overcomplicate it, but now you have the tools to get your creative juices flowing. So give it a go! Your future self will thank you for it! If you're looking for some strategies to make content creation seamless check out my repurpose and relax workshop here: https://www.nicolyawilliams.com/repurpose-and-relax
Regardless of what you decide it’s important you learn more about how they run, why they are valuable and what to call them so you can determine whether or not they fit into your business model.
Discovery calls are a great way to be introduced to a potential client and for them to also be introduced to your brand. Ultimately you get to decide whatever you end up calling this first interaction. You just need to be crystal clear on what it entails, what’s to be expected and wear your expert hat the whole time.
Strategy calls are simply a phone call or coffee meeting that you book to talk to a potential client . The difference, in my eyes with strategy and discovery calls is that strategy calls you’re discussing a strategy or offering some form of coaching and then also opening up an offer for the next step
A discovery call is the first conversation with a potential client after they show initial interest in your product or offer. It's your opportunity to get to know the individual to see if they would be a good fit for your offer. ... Discovery calls also give you the chance to ask questions about your prospects' needs and goals. With discovery calls there isn’t always coaching involved as with strategy calls.
A discovery call is also known as a “sales call,” “strategy call,” or “clarity call”— those are some of the most common names.
The typical structure for these calls goes as…
Build rapport
Share a little about how the call will go
Let them share why they wanted to have a call and where they are stuck
Discuss how you could support them
Determine next steps together
I highly recommend you record your discovery calls this will allow you to reflect on what you can improve upon and also hone in on some market research aspects as well.
The benefit of these calls
Considering this what are your thoughts about weaving in a connection call or some sort into your business model?
