
GUEST RESEARCHER PROFILE- DR EDWARD MAJANI.
Dr. Majani Edward is a distinguished global public health researcher, editor, and leader with over four years of experience advancing research, policy, and community-based initiatives across Africa and beyond. He has authored more than 45 peer-reviewed publications in health systems, infectious disease epidemiology, and social well-being, demonstrating his commitment to evidence-driven solutions.
He currently serves as a Research Scientist at the Center for Reforms, Innovation, Health Policies and Implementation Research (CeRIHI) and Managing Editor of the Journal of Infectious Disease Policy. He is also a Guest Editor and former Associate Editor at the Journal of Public Health Research (SAGE Publishing), where he leads special collections on Mpox epidemiology.
His leadership extends to youth empowerment and policy engagement, having served as Chief of Party for national programs on gender-based violence and youth-led research under the Youth Health Action Network. He has facilitated multiple high-impact workshops and presented at leading scientific conferences.
Majani is a YALI Fellow, Michigan Fellows Africa Initiative Scholar, and recipient of multiple awards, including the Ntuli Kapologwe Primary Healthcare Award.
