The more I understand how fleeting life is and how “when all is said and done” there is only one thing that would matter, the more my heart seeks for every aspect of my life to be a form of worship to God. 

My last few weeks as a medical student, the one prayer I kept praying was, “God, moving forward, I want you to lead me in the way I should go, in a way my career in medicine serves as a form of worship to you. 

I couldn’t believe I was saying this prayer because someone as ambitious as me always wants things done HER WAY, but I was happy to know that God’s spirit has been doing a deep purification of my heart.
