Double Bind Season 2 Episode 8 | Book Review: Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi / Revisiting Canada's Racist Past

On this episode, we are excited to have our first monthly book review; starting with "Homegoing" by Yaa Gyasi. A beautifully written book, with a fascinating look at several generations of a Black family taken from the continent, to their descendants residing in the US, as well as the African continent. Springle, Boogs, Kim and Snead, along with Kenya, chop it up about the book. The crew also readdresses Canada's role in the slave trade. Why do we never associate slavery and racism with Canada? Is it all based in a great PR stunt, to minimize what's going really going on in the great white North? Tune in!
