En ciertos lenguajes, una sola palabra puede tener varias connotaciones. En estudio bíblico, es muy informativo saber cuál fue la palabra usada en el manuscrito original para mejor entender su implicación completa. Hoy exploramos las posibilidades de las palabras “confesar” y “arrepentir”. Utilicé el diccionario Vine’s Expository Dictionary y la página web, the Blue Letter Bible . Puedes verificar todo este material en ambos. II Cor. 9:13 | I Tim. 6:12-13 se usa la palabra “profesar” para traducir la palabra original griega, “homólogia” la cual tradicionalmente se traduce como “confesar”. Heb. 7:21 | II Cor. 7:8 se usa la palabra griega “metamelomai” queriendo significar remordimiento o “regret”, pero en español se usa la palabra “arrepentir”.
