Eric Blanc is a Creative Director, Fashion Designer, and model.
Finding huge success with his first collection in 2021, Eric’s story of being unapologetically himself should inspire anyone. While working as a stylist, Eric was asked to style for a magazine in Hawaii, but insisted on creating a collection instead.
Wanting to make something with purpose that reflected himself, the collection used tapa cloth - inspired by his Samoan culture.
Eric didn’t do a single runway, yet his collection ended up being featured in two magazines, with a model feature Vogue Italia, and shown in a museum in Germany in the Pacifica Exhibition.
Tune in to hear this insightful and hilarious conversation, also discussing things like modelling for Johnny Bigg, comparing the Brisbane fashion scene, wearing suits, and crafting the first fully Pacific Islander based collection.
