Welcome to ”Dog Training Bytes” – the show where canine professionals share their key takeaways, big a-ha moments, and hardest lessons learned from working with dogs. Listen in as Mattison, certified dog trainer and behavior consultant, interviews dog trainers and other pet professionals about times that working with dogs… well, bit. Not literally (maybe literally). This podcast is all about sharing the lessons learned from experience. Because the stories of when it got tough, or when we made a mistake – that’s when we learn the lessons worth learning. And it’s time we share those with the world. What’s most important here on this show: what did they walk away with? What did they learn? How did it shape their approach today?

On today’s episode, Mattison is speaking with Vanessa Ward!
From Vanessa:
I'm Vanessa - The Pet Behaviourist, I'm a qualified dog, cat and rabbit behavioural practitioner. I specialise in calm dogs, cat toileting and rabbit welfare! My aim is for people to live in harmony with their pets.
I studied Zoology at the University of Aberdeen where I picked all the Ethology courses I could. I'll never forget a 2 hour lecture on Cod... Later, I studied Companion Animal Behaviour and Welfare for my PGCert with the University of Odisee. Here I was taught by some wonderful scientific minds and practitioners in our field, I read 100s of scientific papers, did more written and practical exams then I want to remember and used up too many highlighters in my textbooks 🤣
I'm on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.
I run classes, training 1:1s, full behavioural consultations and online and in person courses for a number of common behaviour problems.
You can connect with Vanessa on Instagram and through her website.
