Dr. Jeffrey Kuhlman is a physician executive, healthcare strategist, and global health expert with a distinguished career spanning clinical medicine, military service, and executive leadership. As Chief Quality & Safety Officer and Senior Vice President at AdventHealth, he oversees one of the largest faith-based healthcare systems in the U.S., driving transformative, high-reliability healthcare initiatives across 50 hospitals and more than 1,200 care sites.
A former White House Physician (2000-2013), Dr. Kuhlman was appointed Physician to the President by President Obama in 2009, serving until his military retirement after 30 years in Navy Medicine. His experience in global health, aerospace medicine, and occupational medicine has taken him to over 90 countries, where he has provided care, healthcare assessments, and leadership on international health initiatives.
Dr. Kuhlman is also the co-author of “Transformative Healthcare,” a book and podcast that empowers frontline healthcare professionals with physician-led, data-driven, and evidence-backed methodologies to improve patient care, save lives, and reduce costs.
Beyond his hospital leadership, he serves as Executive Medical Advisor for the Orlando Magic NBA team and remains an active clinician, volunteering in free and charitable clinics locally and internationally.
