Rough Second Period Spoils Great Start, Hands Stars First Loss of Season | DLLS STARS POSTGAME
The Vancouver Canucks scored four goals in the second period, rallying from a 2-0 deficit en route to a 5-3 win over the Dallas Stars on Thursday night at American Airlines Center. The Stars enjoyed a great start to the contest, scoring first for the fourth time in four games to open the season, as Mavrik Bourque opened his goals account for the campaign. Mikko Rantanen tallied a power play goal late in the frame for a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes. However, Vancouver came storming back with four consecutive goals in the second period from Filip Chytil, Brock Boeser, Max Sasson and Conor Garland. Wyatt Johnston found the net late in the third period, his fourth goal in as many games this year, but it was not enough, as Quinn Hughes added an empty net goal to finish off the game.
