In this episode we will finish our discussion about the Bogwan Shree Rajneesh aka Osho and the Rajneesh cult invasion of Oregon that took place in the mid 80's. A professor of philosophy, he travelled throughout India during the 1960s as a public speaker. His outspoken criticism of politicians and the political mind, Mahatma Gandhi and institutionalised religion made him controversial. He advocated a more open attitude towards sexuality, a stance which earned him the sobriquet of "sex guru" in the Indian and the international press. Many people have heard the name but few have heard the whole story. This is an amazing tale of brainwashing, deceit, voter fraud, biological terrorism, sex, ego, money and even plots to commit murder.....all in the name of enlightenment.
This is part 2 of a 2 part podcast. We will tell the whole tale of how quickly an area can be taken over by a cult and how easily people can be drawn into lies when they are trying to fill the void that only God can fill.
