Another NWSL season is upon us so, with Courtney deep in the trenches, André chatted all about it with friend of the pod, Kudzi!
The team-by-team, player-by-player preview pods are out there, so we wanted to focus on bigger picture topics from the season. Will we continue to see a tactical style shift across the league? How will new roster construction mechanisms impact squad cohesion? Will there be another clear top-4 this season?
After, we step back even further than the games and discuss the league overall, and it not seeming up to the fights it will undoubtedly find itself in. We look at the political landscape, current investigations and lack of receipts from the league and ask: Are they ready to protect their players? Is there a developing schism between the league, some players, and its most dedicated fanbase? And: What is the cost of silence?
