S1 Ep7: Divorcees single mums reality of remarrying

DOADG - S1 Ep7: Divorcees single mums' reality of remarrying

In this week's episode, I'm joined by Nafisa AKA The Deen Qween (@thedeenqween on Insta)

I'm discussing the stigma of being a divorcee, and the hardships you must overcome when you decide to get married again, especially when you have a child.

Why does the South Asian community look at women who are divorced as second-hand goods?

Instead of supporting the woman who is going through tough times mentally and emotionally, they like to put her down and treat her like a second class citizen. We need to make a change, this could be your sister or daughter someday.

DOADG - S1 Ep4: Divorce

The number of divorces in the South Asian community is rising.

It shouldn’t be a taboo subject, yet women are still judged and treated differently. Some women are scared to divorce because of the stigma the word carries, but is that fair to stay in a marriage because you're scared about what others will say??

Let's find out…
