In this episode I’m joined by Dr Charlotte Rae, a psychologist at the University of Sussex, who specialises in the biology of wellbeing. In particular, she studies how our working lives interact with our physical and mental health. Charlotte created the Sussex 4 Day Week project to study the effects that a 4 day working week has on staff, from brain function to sleep, and how these underpin performance at work. Charlotte uses her research insights to help employers trial a 4 day week, supporting early questions through to implementing a new working schedule and assessing success. We delve into all of this and more. Enjoy.
