Episode 8 pertains to ‘Engage or Disengage: You Decide’. We have a choice to either engage or disengage with and from people, no matter the circumstances. When I choose to engage even with the slyest of people is because, I realise they need light. When you radiate light, people will be drawn to you. We must however enact caution and diligence when dealing with parasites. Those that I remain engaged with, are typically ones that are genuine and are fundamentally good people. I use the word fundamentally as no one is perfect but when one is ‘fundamentally good’, they are likely to uphold rudimentary human virtues that will ameliorate others and themselves. As Maya Angelou eloquently posited, “You know what’s right. Just do right. You don’t really have to ask anybody. Right might not be expedient. Right might not be profitable. But it will satisfy your soul”. This quote inspires and informs my conduct in how I engage and disengage with others. Do your magic. And leave when you see it as fit.
