May 2021 has been eventful for the City of Charlottetown, starting with City Council bringing an end to a year-long debate on the future of the Sir John A. MacDonald statue on Victoria Row by voting to accept recommendations from the Epekwitk Assembly of Councils to amend the statue. Following this, on May 17th, the public consultation process for regulation of short-term rentals resumed with a public meeting at the Confederation Centre of the Arts.
