Kevin McGonigle, a Detroit Tigers prospect, won the Joe Black Most Valuable Player award in the Arizona Fall League for the second year in a row, following Josue Briceños win. McGonigle, an infielder, had an outstanding performance, hitting .362 with a 1.210 On-base Plus Slugging percentage, blasting five home runs, five doubles, and two triples, and walking nineteen times. Max Anderson, another Tigers infielder, also had an exceptional Fall League, hitting .447 with a 1.418 On-base Plus Slugging percentage, hitting four home runs and five doubles. Both players spent most of their time playing third base for the Scottsdale Scorpions, suggesting a bright future for these young Detroit Tigers prospects.
