The phone call that changed everything. Completely life altering.
Devorah Mirsky, host of the podcast: Digging Deep with Dev, joined me in coversation, unravelling her story of the time when her Dad passed away suddently, in the throes of Covid.
She describes her emotions during this time, as she reflects on what the funeral was like and the type of Shivah she experienced during lockdown.
Devorah dives deep into her PTSD of daily life, even years after losing her Dad, and what we, as a society, can appreciate about what people go through.
She also coined a phrase "they're in a better place condundrum", and gives us her perspective into our responses to others' pain.
But more importantly, Devorah gives us a clear lens into who her Dad was. How he showed up, differently, lovingly, with unwavering support for her and her siblings. It's a lesson how we all can strive to be better parents and show up more present for our children.
