In the latest episode of Demuxed, Matt, Steve and Phil are joined by Feross Aboukhadijeh and John Hiesey from WebTorrent.Feross explains that the idea behind WebTorrent is to allow any web browser to connect to a peer-to-peer swarm, fetch content, verify it, and display it to the user with minimum use of servers. They also discuss how they use the WebRTC protocol and outline browser limitations that resulted in the creation of a WebTorrent desktop application.
