While not entirely new at its core, specifications grading offers in its many different forms infinitely creative and helpful ways for teachers to assess students outside of the traditional grading approach. Curious as to what this assessment form entails? Join us as we discuss this very question. We will share our experiences with specifications grading, what type of courses we believe may benefit from incorporating it and also what those considering using it in their own courses may want to take note of before doing so. Our guests for this episode include two charming individuals: namely the returning and wonderful Laurent Krook and the lovely newcomer Vass Verkhodanova, professors at the Behavioural and Social Sciences (Psychology) and Campus Frysân (Language & Linguistics) faculties respectively. We hope you enjoy this informative and inspiring episode on student assessment!
